Who created you and why?

In spite of the number of atheists in the world, the belief in God is universal. A cross cultural consensus is enough evidence to substantiate the claim. Religions like Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism etc. also declare the existence of God. However, they attribute lower and animalistic attributes to God such as having children, getting tired or even worshipping bizarre idols. These things happened due to the corruption of religions  with the passage of time.

Evolution can’t explain the origin of life. For instance, your mobile phone is composed of a few basic things like logic, silicon, plastic, glass etc. Is there a chance that it could have formed itself through random processes? Scientifically, this violates the 2nd law of thermodynamics (law of increasing entropy). So how do we explain the existence of enormously complex life forms? It is reasonable to conclude that the universe and life are a result of willful intelligent design. This certainly proves the existence of a Creator. The presence of DNA in all life forms serves as a divine signature of a common Creator. This Creator is Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. It has been revealed that,

“Allah created death and life to try you, whichever of you is fairest in deeds.” (Qur’an 67:2)

A world without Deen in fact brings an unhappy end. The hippie movement was a demonstration of this social damage. The hippies believed that they could find spiritual emancipation through secular humanist philosophy and by such things as unlimited drugs and sex. The hippy leaders of the 1960s either killed themselves or died from drug-induced comas in the early 1970s.

Islam is here to restore the true message of Prophets. Allah, The Most High Says,

“And messengers were sent into every nation to proclaim, ‘Worship Allah and avoid false deities.” (Qur’an 16:36)

Proofs of Islam*

The revelations mentioned in the Islamic scriptures confirm their divine nature. For instance, formerly it was thought that mountains were merely protrusions rising above the surface of the Earth. However, scientists realized that mountains play a similar role to a nail or peg firmly holding down earth. Mount Everest, the summit of which stands approximately 9 km above the surface of the earth, has a root deeper than 125 km. Allah, The Most High Says,

“We placed mountains in the earth so that as it revolved  with them you lived undisturbed.” (Qur’an, 21:31)

“Have We not made the earth as a bed and the mountains its pegs?” (Qur’an, 78:6-7)

Another fact confirmed by recent findings is that matter constantly seeks the most stable state. Iron is the most desirable state of nuclear matter, and cosmological models predict a stage in which everything will turn into iron as a result of nuclear fusion and nuclear fission reactions. Allah, The Most High Says,

Yet they say: “When we are turned to bones and bits, shall we be raised as a new creation?” Tell them [O Muhammad ()]:”Even if you turn to iron Allah shall bring you back (to life)” (Qur’an 17:49-51)

Obligations of a Muslim

The Messenger of Allah () said: “Islam has been built on five (pillars).

Testifying that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.

  • Establishing the Salah (prayer).
  • Paying the Zakat (obligatory charity).
  • Making the Hajj (pilgrimage) to the House.
  • And fasting in Ramadhan. ”

 [Nawawi 3]

The Messenger of Allah () said: “The rights of one Muslim over another are six.

If you meet him, greet him with Salam.

  • If he invites you, accept the invitation.
  • If he asks for advice, give him sincere advice.
  • If he sneezes and praises Allah, say Yarhamuk Allah (may Allah have mercy on you).
  • If he falls sick, visit him.
  • And if he dies, attend his funeral.”

 [Muslim 2162]

Invalidators of Islam*

(As per the Qur’an, Hadith and consensus of the scholars)

  • Shirk (polytheism)
  • Voluntary apostasy
  • Not deeming a disbeliever to be a disbeliever
  • Believing that the guidance of other than the prophet is more complete than his guidance
  • Hating anything that the messenger came with
  • Mocking Allah, or the Messenger, or the Qur’an, or the Shariah
  • Magic
  • Aiding the disbelievers against the Muslims
  • Believing that some have the choice to leave off the Shariah of Muhammad ()
  • Aversion to the Deen, not learning it nor acting upon it
